2006 BUPA Manchester 10k run

This race took place on Sunday 21st May, starting at 11 am. Once around Manchester city centre, starting and ending in the same place along Deansgate. By the time it was over, it was raining quite a bit and I was soaked LOL! I was absolutely freezing and it took me a while to find people. Needless to say I didn't find my colleagues whom I suspect went to the pub lol, though I found my other half in the end. We wandered to the charity 'tent village' which is set up each year for this event on Albert Square. Would be nice if someone was there to supply me with drinks and lots of sweet goodies LOL. This is where the post-run pix were taken. As ever though it was fun, and of course worth it. As you can see from the pix on the next page, this year I chose to wear a rather silly but symbolic hat and the same old pair of shorts. I hope you enjoy the photographs. The last photo proudly shows off my certificate. Funds raised: US$302 http://www.rutgerhauer.org/rutgerhauer.org/fundraisingrun.phpRHSA

I added to this rounding it up to 500 euros which was used to support the Tanzania Project at the Muhimbili Hospital!

It’s great to know where the funds go. Thank you Starfish!
